Bellevue College, the City of Bellevue, and university partners in South Korea invite students, faculty, industry mentors, and civic leaders to participate in ThinkCity 2026, a global Smart City Civic Innovation Challenge.

ThinkCity 2026: Team Submission Template

Teams submit one PDF (max 5 pages) and a 3-minute presentation. Optional demo or prototype encouraged but not required.

  • What community or city challenge are you solving?
  • Who is affected?
  • Why does this problem matter now?

3. Stakeholders & Impact

  • Who benefits from this solution? (e.g., residents, city staff, students, commuters)
  • Which organizations or groups would be involved?
  • What positive impact would success create?

4. Proposed Solution: Describe your idea clearly and concisely.

  • What is your solution?
  • How does it work?
  • What makes it innovative or different?

You may include:

  • Diagrams

  • Simple workflow visuals

5. Technology & Approach: Technical depth should match team background—no penalty for being non-technical.

  • Tools or technologies used or proposed
    (e.g., AI, data analysis, sensors, apps, web tools, policy changes, process redesign)
  • How technology supports the solution (if applicable)

6. Feasibility & Implementation

  • How could this realistically be implemented?
  • What resources would be needed?
  • Who could own or maintain this solution?

7. Equity, Accessibility & Ethics: Civic solutions must serve diverse communities responsibly.

  • How does your solution ensure inclusivity?
  • Are there accessibility, privacy, or ethical considerations?
  • How are unintended consequences addressed?

8. Sustainability & Scalability

  • Could this solution grow or adapt to other cities or communities?
  • How does it support long-term impact?

9. Reflection (Short)
